  1. I almost didn’t see this show. I read through the description (like I did for every single show in the guide), and decided it probably wasn’t going to be for me. But I couldn’t ignore all the praise it was getting across the country and when a Volunteer Appreciation show fit perfectly into my schedule, I decided I’d give it a shot.

And I’m so glad I did.

The stories, though taken from 30 years of experiences, were told so seamlessly that it was easy to believe it was all one continuous story. And the way Jeff Leard structures them – the hilarious, awkward, suspenseful, and ultimately the amazingly poignant ending – was absolute perfection. This show was the best example I have ever experienced of not judging a book by its cover and being open to the surprises of the Fringe. Definitely check it out!
